The Lido Expandable Table is a unique piece of furniture that folds into a small orthogonal bin, serving as a storage space for small items. When the side plates are lifted, joint legs project out, transforming the bin into a tea table or a small desk. If the side plates are fully unfolded, the Lido becomes a large table, suitable for use as a dining table, particularly in cultures where floor seating is common, such as in Korea and Japan.

The design of the Lido was inspired by the concept of "Luce Crack", which aims to turn a dark, closed space into a place where light and air can enter. Even when folded, the Lido has gaps between panels, allowing light and air to pass through, invoking curiosity and encouraging interaction.

The Lido was realized using oak, although it can be made from any type of wood. The finishing is done with natural oil and varnish, giving it a sleek and sophisticated look. The technical specifications of the design are 1100w*216d (unfolding 750d)*296h, making it a versatile piece of furniture for any space.

One of the key challenges in designing the Lido was to make it easy to fold and unfold. Most foldable and expandable tables have locks for all legs, making them difficult to manipulate.
